Stina and the Wolf is a project to turn a short story into a fully animated 25 minute film. At present i’m\u00a0composing\u00a0the\u00a0music. It’s spilt into 5 movements (i’ve\u00a0completed\u00a04 so far) , each one based on\u00a0the\u00a05 acts in\u00a0the\u00a0story. Each piece is a narrative and attempts to combine\u00a0orchestration\u00a0and\u00a0leitmotif\u00a0to tell Stina’s story.<\/p>\n
At present\u00a0these\u00a0pieces are sketched out on computer but hopefully (if i can organise\u00a0funding) i plan to record them with a full\u00a0orchestra. Being\u00a0entirely\u00a0untrained\u00a0and\u00a0having not the foggiest clue how to read music, I shall be working with a friend to help me through\u00a0the\u00a0final scoring and\u00a0orchestration.<\/p>\n
As for\u00a0the\u00a0animation\u00a0itself. I am exploring lots of options at\u00a0the\u00a0moment. From full stop motion to painted and CG. I lecture in animation, so have an advantage. But i’m also very keen to\u00a0involve\u00a0other people in\u00a0the\u00a0process and am\u00a0presently\u00a0looking for talented artists to bring their own ideas to\u00a0the\u00a0project and help me visualise this world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
